学生 are provided with opportunities to display their artworks in and outside of the school in art exhibitions and competitions. 在这个多级类中, students are exposed to a variety of “dry media,” learning the necessary technical skills to communicate their ideas, while continuing to strengthen their knowledge of the elements and principles of design.

陶瓷 provides an opportunity for students to develop a body of work that is both conceptually valid and reflective of their artistic style. Sculpture techniques, the science of glazing, and wheel skills are taught to all levels of students.

Venezuelan-American artist and educator 科瑞娜 S. 阿尔瓦雷斯德鲁戈出生于委内瑞拉的巴伦西亚. She studied at Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut, had formal art training with Venezuelan painter and sculptor Luis Alvarez de Lugo, and earned a BFA in studio art with Honors and Distinction from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, 同时抚养三个孩子. She is currently a Lesley Art + Design MFA in 视觉艺术 candidate at Lesley University in Cambridge, 麻萨诸塞州, 获得斯特劳赫-莫斯优秀奖学金.

She has won awards from major organizations in Connecticut and New York, as well as an artist-in residency at the Vermont Studio Center with a Merit-based Grant. She was also a 2019 artist-in residency at RUC (Residency for Contemporary Artists) in the Italian Alps, EU.

本·巴克获得了B.Sc. (Hons) in Environmental 科学s from the University of East Anglia in England and is a graduate of the Connecticut Film Industry Training Program from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. Ben spent over 20 years in the environmental industry conducting laboratory analysis, mobile laboratory site investigations and indoor air quality studies. He is a State of CT Department of 健康 Services certified Environmental Laboratory Director. 在离开科学舞台之后, Ben pursued his life-long love of photography and film by working in locations management for film and television productions in New York City and Connecticut. He is also a seasoned and qualified soccer coach, having coached the game for 15 years. Over that period he has coached all youth ages from two to 18 years old.
